Originally from Artane in Dublin, Morgan began studying classical guitar surprisingly late in the Artane School of Music as a teenager, having originally been interested in rock, pop and folk guitar.
Morgan receved his performance degrees from the Royal College of Music (Master of Music, placed first in year one), Trinity College London (Performance Fellowship) and the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama (Bachelor of Music, placed first).
Performances have taken him to prestigious venues such Cadogan Hall, National Gallery Trafalgar Square, the Victoria and Albert Museum, St. James’ Piccadilly, the Bath Guitar Festival, Royal Dublin Society (RDS), the Boyle Arts Festival and the National Concert Hall of Ireland.
Still early in his career, Morgan has commissioned new works from a diverse range of composer backgrounds including those from the United States, Spain, the UK, Ireland, France and Brazil. Morgan is delighted to perform on a lattice-braced guitar made by luthier Philip Woodfield.
